Short version:

Many people hate exaggeration, equivocality, and unnecessary complexity, so we built this non-profit website to promote the concept of simple talking, simple writing, simple relationships, and simple interpretations. Many people want to live in a simpler, cleaner world. This website promote three things: plain words, impersonal views, and simple science-technology talks. We will write, or edit, or quote anything related to them.

Long version:

This world is getting more complicate. We often cannot follow what some people are talking or writing about. So we built this website - SimpleWorld.ca - to support a concept of simpler, cleaner world. Some of us like simple talking, simple writing, simple relationships, and simple interpretations; some of us hate exaggeration and equivocality. Why should we keep confusing ourselves? Why can't we save this confusion-power to do something more useful?

When we built this site on February 20, 2008, our intention was to support plain language. As an English-learning website, we were hoping people use plain words to talk and write, so listeners and readers quickly find what they want. We believe that if one writer spends one more hour to revise his/her writing, readers might save hundreds of human-hours. This is good for economy. Ironically, we are not native English speakers. We used English to make this site more accessible by the world. We will try to write, or edit, or quote something to support the idea of simple writing. If you feel our English awkward,  you are very welcome to write your comments to us at "webmaster at simpleworld dot ca". We would really appreciate your help, and hope we work together to convince more people speak or write in a plain way.

The second thought to build this site is for impersonal views on anything in this world. Well, impersonal, or disinterested, or impartial, We cannot decide which one we should pick. Actually, the expression "impersonal views" appears to be an oxymoron - "views" come from human, but "impersonal" means no human preference. How could you expect a living creature say something absolutely impersonal? We eat everyday; most of us are employed by somebody; we live in our families; we need raise our kids; we have parents to care for. People have all kinds of duties - it would be ridiculous to expect us speak up some impersonal views. After all, each of us is born with egos. However, we will try to discuss things as impersonal as possible.

The third thought is to promote simple interpretations in science and technologies. Many books or articles unnecessarily complicate things. Some lists on books written in a very simple way, and on some people who can interpret complex subjects to let any layman understand will be put here. If people cannot interpret their topics in a simple way, usually they don't know what they are talking about. Certainly, there are some great yet difficult books on mathematical logics, philosophy, or mathematics. They are written only for very few people who are willing to think hard and devote their lives to these "boring", "impractical" subjects. We admire their bravery, and as dumb persons on logics, won't venture to discuss their works. This website is only for ordinary people.

We guess that is all what we want to say about the intention of the website. Here are some things that you might want to know about us: we hate complicate things, so we write what we think and we speak what we think. We hate judgment and authorities. Like most people in this world, we respect all races and all religions, and we try not to harm others. Living our ordinary lives, caring for our families, helping people who really need our helps, we live in our simple world.

(1). This website is non-profit. But we might put some business websites that we think do good for human. For example, Google and Amazon.
(2). We are busy these days. We will gradually put something in this website.
